St. Patrick's Day Vintage Postcard Blocks

This week for Vintage Thingies Thursday I wanted to share the blocks I made using vintage St. Patrick's Day postcards (reproductions). Be sure to visit the Colorado Lady to join in the fun!

My little blocks start out as simple 2x4 scraps from my husband's job site. I then sand the edges, spray paint them, choose my vintage image (there are many sites online that share them for free), print the image on card stock, add special touches such as glitter and ink, mod podge the postcard to the block and finish with ribbon. Not too hard and fun to make! They make me happy each time I look at them! :-)

Fall Inspired Planter

Taking some of the ideas from the magazines clippings I share a few weeks ago, I created my own Fall planter to go by my front door. I already had the perfect planter and some extra fake leaves and pumpkins/squash. I bought two twig wreathes from JoAnn's, $1.99 each. I hot glued the leaves and pumpkins/squash to the wreaths.I then stacked them on top of each other and placed a pumpkin in the center. There you have it! Pretty simple but I think it looks nice.
